BeautifulBurnout, self proclaimed “Fascist Bastard” and occasional Buddhist, on the death of Margaret Thatcher

Thanks for all the obituaries, MsChin. The way some people are carrying on on Facebook, anyone would think I had just pissed on the body of Mother Theresa rather than posted a few well-chosen words..

One day we’ll dance on their graves

I have got a bottle of cava in the fridge if anyone wants to join me to…er….show some respect for the dead. *cough*

Gloating distracts those celebrating from seeing their own faults, said Carol Lutker, resident teacher of the Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Center in Atlantic Beach.
While Margaret Thatcher’s death can be viewed as the karmic consequences of her evil actions, expressing joy about her end ignores the spiritual truth that all human beings struggle with destructive emotions, Lutker said.

“The real enemy is not a particular individual, it’s that the delusion … and fear that caused her to do what she did, causes us to do what we do,” she said.
